Display Filters
Results per page: You can specify the maximum number of results that
will be returned on each page of output. If the search output does not fit on
one page of output, each page will have links to display the following or preceding
page.
Output format: Six output formats are available, as described below. Of
these, the first three are designed primarily for viewing, and the last three are
designed for entry into bibliography management programs.
- Text (extended): A simple text format that includes the full
bibliographic reference for each item. This can be read on screen, printed, or saved
from the browser as text. The reference includes the keywords used by CIS.
- Text (brief): Similar to Text (extended) but slightly shortened by
omission of keywords (and possibly other information beyond the basic reference).
- Linked: Authors, journal titles, and keywords of each item are HTML
(Web) links. Author links bring up a list of all articles with that author
name (but only those appearing exactly in the same form). Journal
titles bring up the complete contents of that volume of the journal. Keyword
titles bring up all articles with the same keyword (but only
those appearing exactly in the same form).
- BibTeX: Formatted for use with the BibTeX reference management system
(used with the LaTeX document processing system).
- Refer: Formatted for use with the Refer reference management system,
and systems using similar input. Information is preceded by tags like %AUTHOR,
%TITLE, etc. For ProCite users: download here
an input filter for importing Refer into Procite. This is somewhat limited because
all items will be imported as articles, but it should help with the bulk of the
citation information.
- Tagged text: Similar to Refer but tags are single letters like
%A, %T, etc. Suitable for use with some reference management systems like
Endnote.
