PRINT VOLUME PUBLICATION ENDS
Publication of the Current Index to Statistics Print Volume ends with Volume 25, released in 2001 and containing entries primarily for 1999
The CIS Management Committee decided to end the series due to the declining importance of this form of access to CIS relative to the electronic forms (Current Index to Statistics / Extended Database, in CDROM form and on the Web). Although sales of the PV were still substantial, we concluded that it would better serve the profession to devote our volunteer editorial and managerial resources to development and improvement of our electronic products.
Customers who had pre-ordered Print Volume 26 will be offered a refund, a credit toward another purchase, or a reduced-price one-year subscription to CIS on the Web. Information about this offer will be mailed early in the summer when the Personal Web license is ready for implementation.
